About
I have worked in alpine environments, tropical mountains, tropical rain forests, tropical deciduous forests, cloud forests, and most biomes of northwestern Mexico. Presently, I am working on the population ecology of dryland plants, their interaction with animals, and the reproductive consequences of the interaction. I am interested in the interface between community ecology and population ecology applied to the study of the diversity and functioning of arid ecosystems, particularly pollination, seed-dispersal, and nectar secretion. Also, I have a deep interest in exploring the ecological and social consequences of land use changes and the valuation of ecosystem services.
